While caravanning around Australia in 2018, I met an inspiring lady who made tote bags. This kick-started my own journey of hand crafting totes. Fascinated by the idea of sewing my own shopping bags, I decided to give it a try. When we were in Darwin, I bought a small sewing machine from Spotlight. Each night you could find me sewing away under the caravan awning. My first attempts at totes were not the best but I improved as time went on.
After a year of house sitting in England, during which I could only sew occasionally, I joined a Facebook sewing group. This group blew me away as I saw so many beautiful hand made bags. An addiction was born. My sewing skills grew over time so that I could handcraft many different styles of bags, backpacks and toiletry bags.
I constantly praise God for giving me this gift – one which keeps me active, creative and fulfilled. I would never ever have thought that I could do something like this, nor have a ‘growing range of equipment’ to pursue this passion. But I can and I do.

If I can do it, anyone can!!
