The Ladies Loop seeks to record women’s on-going faith in Jesus, through their lived activities, experiences and inquisitive minds. This blog was borne within our regular Ladies Group Meetings, out of a desire for sharing our lived experiences on line, especially for those who can not join us physically. In the course of our studying the Bible together.
We have shared fun, feasting, fellowship and often being forlorn together through health, family and spiritual challenges faced by many of us at varying times. This ‘climb’ can often be arduous but the group fellowship enables us to keep on going for we have God’s assurance that the ‘view’ up on high is truly exhilarating. The ladies contribute aspects of their spiritual journey, current activities and articles of interest.
The ‘logistics’ is overseen by Linda and Kay who share the different aspects of Admin for the blog. Here are some snippets of their life and interests –
Hi I’m Linda. I was born in Indonesia and raised in a Buddhist family. In 1986, I migrated to Australia. I am so thankful to God for drawing me close to Him and for Jesus’ redemption. For me one verse in particular speaks of God having a plan and purpose for our lives – “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”. Jeremiah 29:11.
I had worked in Administration for most of my working life. When Kay shared her vision of setting up the ladies blog, I did not want to miss the opportunity to help in this capacity. I am excited to be a part of ‘The Ladies Loop’ where our ladies will be sharing God’s Word to a wider community.
Hi! I’m Kay, – a wife, mother of 3 and grandma (Naani) to 4 wonderful grandkids. Reading and writing has been the very breath of my life for as long as I can remember. And when the Word of God shone into my heart – well, I was over the moon and completely captivated!
For nearly 5 decades, I’ve watched the writing platforms evolve from just magazines, books, movies and so much more to the now ever mushrooming platforms of the internet. I’m always excited when I read blogs from other women. And before I knew it, God was stirring in my heart to share what we have within us, as the regular Ladies Group here in Brisbane, through our very own blog.
In the fast-paced and ever-changing world of technology, we are doing our best as a group of Ladies to be encouraged and encourage others in this ‘adventure’ that God invites us to live, through His promises.
